Kubbi Café*
Kubbi Café* is run by the school P&C Association and operates five days per week from Monday to Friday, before school and at both first and second break. Orders are placed online through Qkr! (See below "How to order") which is a pay-as-you-go system. There is an extensive menu to choose from which caters for all dietary requirements including vegetarian and halal options. Menu options change daily and are available on the app. Daily cut-off times are as follows:
- 7.45am - First break orders for Prep to Year 2 close
- 8am - Lunch orders close for first and second break.
- 11am - Late order lunches for emergencies only with a limited menu.
- 8am-1pm - Barista coffee, and hot / iced drinks are served for staff, parents, and school visitors during this time.
How to order
As our tuckshop is now cashless, all meal and snack orders are to be completed online through Qkr!, .
The QKR! app is available for download for both iOS and Android, or orders can be placed using the Qkr! website - https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/store/#/home and search for "Pallara State School". You will need to setup an ordering profile for each of your students. Please ensure you select the correct class, as we are unable to change this for you.
Order Cancellations / Sickness
If you need to cancel an order due to child illness or change of circumstance, you must cancel the order in Qkr! before the cut off time of 8:00AM. Qkr! will provide credit to your account for your next order. The P&C is unable to cancel or edit orders either before or after the cut off time – it must be done by the account holder. After the cut-off time, food is being prepared, so no refunds will be given.
Feedback / Queries
If you have any queries or suggestions for anything tuckshop related, such as ordering process or the menu, please use the email address for the tuckshop, pallara.tuckshop@gmail.com or drop by the tuckshop to discuss with our convenor, Shalisa.
Volunteering in the Tuckshop
The ongoing success and viability of the tuckshop relies on volunteers, so if you can spare a few hours to help in the tuckshop, please drop into the tuckshop to see Shalisa or send her an email at pallara.tuckshop@gmail.com and she will get back to you as soon as possible.
Contacting the Tuckshop
Due to the nature of the job, the best way to contact our convenor, Shalisa, is via email (pallara.tuckshop@gmail.com) . Please be mindful that Shalisa only works during the week, and spends the majority of her hours (e.g. from 8:00-1:00pm) in the kitchen and away from the computer, so she will reply to emails as soon as practically possible but there will be delays. Shalisa can also be reached by phoning the school, however please be mindful that phone calls can be difficult during these peak service times, as it can impact on service delivery, so she may need to return your phone call outside of peak delivery times.
